Confidence and your career

Career confidence is not self-confidence, nor is it self-assurance of one’s capabilities that they can “do the job”. Career confidence involves purpose and a realistic career plan.

However, self-confidence does play an important role in achieving your realistic career plan.

The focus should be on progress, not perfection.

Don’t beat yourself up when things don’t go according to plan, but plan to recover and reduce the impact when things do go wrong.

Every experience, positive or negative will make you stronger, more confident and capable of facing new challenges.

Regardless of your chosen career industry, confidence is essential to success and achievement of career goals.
